Generally, no. However if you have a chronic medical condition that is being managed by your GP under Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) you may be eligible for a rebate for up to five physiotherapy treatments per year. The need for physiotherapy must be directly related to your chronic condition and the referral validity is determined by your Doctor. Please speak with your GP if you feel you may be eligible.
Yes, you may receive a rebate if you have extras cover as part of your policy. Our clinics have HICAPS which allows you to claim your health fund rebate on the spot, leaving only the gap to pay. You will need to have your health fund card with you to access this service.
You will need to pay at the time of your appointment. Should you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you provide adequate notice (at least 24 hours). This allows us to schedule waitlisted patients for treatment. Please check our appointment cancellation policy and whether fees apply for late cancellation.
If relevant, please bring any referral letters and test results such as x-rays. We can access scan results online if they were done recently in Cairns. Please discuss with our reception team so they can obtain copies prior to your appointment.
This will depend on the area that is being treated. Generally we recommend loose, comfortable clothing that will not restrict movement. For lower limb treatments we recommend a pair of shorts (not exercise tights).
